You need to enable the option there.

This is not a default feature from SMF, would require a mod or custom coding and it's unrelated to the theme.

Not really, you can just use the Comet support board for any specifics.
The settings are always in admin > forum > current theme

I don't think it's updated like you said, it won't crash your board but it's very recommended to have it updated. Also the theme is a bit old and it's not responsive.

I recommend you using the inspect element tool from your browser so you can right click on the element and find it's related classes.
